Process
All doors/drawer fronts are removed along with handles/nobs, a discussion can be had at this stage as to whether new ironmongery is going to be used which may have different hole sizes etc. These are then taken to the workshop where they are fully degreased and cleaned, all surfaces are then sanded and cleaned again ready for the spray paint process. A standard procedure would involve a sprayed coat of adhesion primer (a specialized product which adheres to the door material which allows the topcoat to bind to it) followed by two topcoats of sprayed specialized furniture paint, the number of coats of each process would depend upon the material of the current doors and desired colour/finish of new look. The choice of finished colours is endless! The carcass of the kitchen receives the same process but is hand finished using fine finish brush and roller. The sprayed topcoat paint is left to cure for at least 48 hours before all the doors/drawers are refitted.
